LOVEissue handles your personal data with care and complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Here you can read which data we process through loveissue.com and b2b.loveissue.com, why, and how long we keep it. LOVEissue, De Deckerestraat 26 in Oost-Souburg, is responsible for that processing.

An order in the web shop

For an order we use your name, address, email address, phone number (if you fill it in) and what you order. We need these to perform the contract: packing your order, shipping it, emailing you the confirmation and invoice, and letting you know where your parcel is. Your payment details are processed by Mollie; we only see whether and how you paid.

We keep a paid order and its invoice for seven years, because tax law requires it. An order that was never paid is deleted at your request, and in any case once we no longer need it.

Reminder about your basket

If you got as far as payment but it failed or was cancelled, we send you one email about two hours later with what was in your basket, so you can pick up where you left off. We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest: you had almost placed the order. It stays at that one email. If you don't want it, just send us a message and you will never get one again.

An account

If you create an account, we keep your name, email address, an encrypted password and your orders, so you can see them again later. If you sign in with Google, Google only gives us your name and email address. Your account stays until you ask us to delete it.

Address lookup at checkout

At checkout you can have your address completed for you. What you type is passed on by our server to Google Places to suggest addresses. Google sees your search, not who you are.

The B2B portal

For shops and agencies that order through the portal, we process company details and the names and email addresses of contact persons. We need these for orders, invoices and commissions, and we keep them for as long as we work together and after that for as long as the law requires.

The newsletter

If you sign up through the website, we first send you an email to confirm that it is your address. Only then are you added to the list. We keep when and from which IP address you signed up, so we can show your consent. After confirming, you receive your own discount code.

At checkout you can also tick a box to receive the newsletter. That box is unticked by default: if you don't tick it, you won't get the newsletter. If you do tick it, we keep the moment as proof of your consent.

Every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link; after one click you won't receive anything from us anymore. For each newsletter we count how often a link is clicked, so we know what you find interesting. We do not measure whether you open an email. We keep your name and email address until you unsubscribe; if you ask us to forget you completely, we also delete the history.

Contact

If you email us, we use your details to answer your question and keep the conversation for up to six months after it has been closed.

Who we share data with

We only share data with parties we need to handle your order, and with whom we have agreements about keeping it secure:

  • Mollie, for payment
  • PostNL and MyParcel, for shipping and tracking your parcel
  • Resend, which sends our newsletter
  • Google, if you sign in with Google or have your address completed
  • Weblord, which hosts our website and server

Apart from that, we do not give your data to anyone, unless the law requires us to.

Cookies and storage in your browser

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies or analytics services such as Google Analytics. Your browser does store a few things the web shop needs to work: your basket, your wishlist, recently viewed products, the address you entered at checkout and, if you are signed in, your session. These stay on your own device. The links to Instagram and Facebook are ordinary links; those services only see anything about you once you click them.

Security

All connections to our website are encrypted. We only store passwords in encrypted form, and only the staff who need it for their work can access your data.

Your rights

You may view your data, have it corrected or deleted, and object to its use. To do so, email us at info@loveissue.com. To avoid changing someone else's data, we sometimes ask you to show who you are. If you gave consent, you can always withdraw it; what we did before that remains valid. Data we are legally required to keep, such as an invoice, can only be deleted after that period.

If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Changes

If anything changes in how we handle your data, we update this privacy policy. The date at the top shows when that last happened.
